8:15a-9:15a Keynote- Dr. Elizabeth Click - Nurturing the Nurse:  Self-care Strategies for Optimal Well-being

Dr. Click works as Medical Director and nursing faculty at CWRU.  She created the university’s faculty/staff wellness program and provides strategic support for implementation of population health initiatives. Her professional pursuits have focused on behavior change efforts for individuals and groups within corporate and academic organizations.

  1. Rosanne Radziewicz - Mindfulness: Mind Over What Matters
Rosanne Radziewicz is a Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist, recently retired from MetroHealth Medical Center where she focused on mindfulness programming for patients and medical staff and employees to manage pain, stress and burnout.  Additionally, she is a Registered Yoga Therapist and Reiki Master Teacher. 

2. Deb Shields – Self-Care for Nurses
Deborah Shields is a Professor of Nursing at Capital University, Columbus, Ohio. She is a board certified Advanced Holistic Nurse and a qualified Therapeutic Touch practitioner and teacher. Deb is also a staff nurse, caring for people experiencing peri-operative procedures and assisting with onboarding new nurses at OhioHealth. She is committed to holistic self-development, and mentors students and nurses interested in the holistic paradigm. Deb is Co-Editor and contributing author to the seventh and eighth edition of Holistic Nursing: A Handbook for Practice. She serves in volunteer roles in the ONA, AHNCC and AHNA. Deb’s current practice and scholarship includes developing Holistic Nursing education curricula, exploring the meaning of healing, integrating aesthetics into practice, and theory development.

11a-11:45a  Lucinda Cave – Nature and Health
Lucinda Cave was a staff nurse, a clinical nurse specialist, and a professional development educator at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center for many years.  As an avid bicycle commuter and bike touring enthusiast, she became interested in health, environment, and physical fitness issues.  She recently attended a ‘Nature and Health’ conference at Cleveland Museum of Natural History and became aware of the tremendous data linking interactions with nature and positive health measures.  She dug deeper into the literature, and as a Nursing Professional Development specialist, knew she had to share.

  2. Dr. Katy Bryan – Financial Wellness
Dr. Katy Bryan has a PhD in Neuroscience from Kent State University. After making a career change, Katy now works as a financial planner and helps her clients build customized strategic plans.

2p-3:00p Teresa Sipos - Spiritual Healthcare for Nurses: Gratitude, Forgiveness & Inner Healing

Teresa teaches Mental Health Nursing for Columbus State Community College at Maryhaven and ministers as the Appalachian Behavioral Healthcare Chaplain. Her Doctor of Ministry Project is “Spiritual Healthcare for Nurses” which includes research and nursing interventions. Teresa also serves as Chair for the National Association of Catholic Nurses, Columbus Council.

  • Please note we are unable to issue refunds after March 6th, 2020.
  • Comfortable clothes and sneakers are recommended for participation in fun, active sessions.
  • If you are interested in attending yoga please bring your own mat and if you are attending water activities please be sure to bring your swimsuit and a towel.
