This presentation will discuss the intricacies of the current staffing law in Ohio and what nursing organizations have accomplished since the law’s passage.

About Tiffany: Tiffany Bukoffsky, BSN, RN holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Art Education and has six years of teaching experience in public schools.  During this time, she took three years of graduate coursework in education and leadership.  She has presented at numerous conferences including, the National Art Education Association Conference, the Ohio Art Education Association Conference, the Wyoming Nurses Association 2016 Nurses Day at the Legislature, as well as many ONA events.  
Tiffany also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and graduated Cum Laude from Mount Carmel in 2013 and was awarded the Humanitarian Award by her peers.  She was also a member of the Rho Omicron Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society in Nursing.  While in nursing school, Tiffany worked as a legislative intern for State Representative Michael Stinziano on healthcare-related bill proposals.  

She has served as the Director of Health Policy at Ohio Nurses Association from 2013-3014, Deputy Executive Officer of Operations from 2014-2015, Deputy Executive Officer of Government Relations & Professional Engagement from 2015-2016 and most recently returned to her roots as the Director of Health Policy & Nursing Practice in January of 2016.  Tiffany is also currently working on her Executive Master of Health Administration degree from The George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health.  

She has given multiple presentations to nursing students and nurses across the state on the legislative process, current legislation that effects nursing, how to be a successful advocate for nursing, the Affordable Care Act and Insurance Marketplace, and using social media to effectively communicate with legislators.
